HAWAII

We're back!!! We got home yesterday from our trip to Hawaii. We had such a great time basking in the sun and laying around on the beach (ok I layed around on the beach, Luke had to chase Macy)! We had such a nice time just being together as a family and Luke and I have decided that Macy's definitely a summer (warm weather) kinda girl. She's definitely happiest when she's outside in a little onesie or in the water.

Here are some quick little highlights of our trip:

1. The Polynesian Culteral Center. This is SO much fun. For those of you who've never been, it's owned by the church and most of the people that work there are students at BYU. The PCC is set up as a bunch of little "villages" that represent the Polynesian islands, Fiji, Tahiti, Hawaii, Tonga, Samoa etc. They do little presentations at each "island" to teach tourists about their culture. It's full of dancing and games and some pretty neat demonstrations.

2. The Dole Plantation. This is pretty self explanatory. It's where they grow Pineapple. You can take a train ride around the plantation, and do a big Maze (took us over an hour).

3. The Waikiki Aquarium. Macy LOVED the aquarium, everything was "oooh, ahhh" it was so cute.

4. The Beach! We went to the Kailua beach and also to Waikiki Beach. Both were beautiful with gogeous white sand and clear aqua blue water. So pretty. Macy loved when the waves would come in and get her! She also loved playing in the sand with her pail and shovel.

5. The Laie Temple and the Visitors center. Such beautiful grounds.

6. And of course.....SHOPPING! We walked up the main strip in Waikiki looking in the shops along the way. Unfortunately a bunch of the stores were really expensive ones like Coach, Louis Vuitton, Prada etc. etc. Not my cup of tea! haha But we did hit up a few Wal-marts and Ross dress for less!

All in all, we had a great time just hanging out. I would definitely recomend Hawaii to anyone thinking of a holiday!
